So, today was one of good and bad parts. Mostly bad, but some good. I woke up today with a feeling in the pit of my stomach that should have told me that something was going to go wrong. But, as I'm an idiot and I always ignore gut instinct, I got out of bed anyway. My sister roused me, telling me that someone from my insurance company had called. No big deal. I called back and checked to see what the woman wanted (pretty much nothing), and was off the phone within a matter of a couple of minutes. Then, I got on the computer, started browsing blogs to see if anyone had written, and did some commenting. I did that and just generally browsed the internet for a few hours. Then my dad left for work and the shit hit. the. fan. From there on out, everything was wrong.
So, after about another hour and a half of sitting on the computer...doing nothing playing solitaire researching, I got myself and my sister up and we got ready to leave. Finally got out the door around...oh, 2:30 PM. First, I had to go to AAA because the registration sticker on my car expired at the end of March. Well, on March 15 (before the damned thing expired), I renewed my registration over the internet, with the firm assurance from PennDOT that I would receive my brand spankin' new registration STICKER in the MAIL within 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS. Now, maybe it's just me, but I'm fairly sure that if 2 months went by and there was no sign of your registration sticker, after you PAID FOR IT, you'd be pissed too.
So, I make my way into town to the Triple A office. I go inside, sign my name to the little clipboard. Then I sit. And I wait. Finally, my name is called and I take my receipt that says that I paid for my registration to be renewed and my sticker to be sent out to my house within 7-10 business days of March 15, 2007 up to the counter and present it to thecrabby witch respectable lady behind the counter. She takes a look at it, punches a few numbers into her computer and informs me that my registration sticker is on hold in Harrisburg, because instead of having my address (that I went online and changed ALSO IN MARCH) listed in their files, they had the letter G. Not my house number, or apartment number, or street name. Just. G. And then my city, state, and zip code. So, not only do I have no sticker, but my car is registered to nowhere. Fan-freaking-tastic. So, I ask her what I can do about that. She says "well, seeing as how this is from March, if you were to get pulled over, this receipt probably wouldn't be any good." =-O WHAT!? I paid for registration and it's not any good?? Now I'm fuming and she tells me that I have 2 options. I can get online and change my address or call this number and change the address. OR I can pay 14 MORE dollars to AAA and they will give me the sticker right away. I opt for the sticker on the spot. So, she checks the records. My car is registered to my husband. That means that I CAN NOT PAY TO HAVE THAT STICKER GIVEN TO ME. So I stomped out, still with an expired sticker and nothing done about it. So, then I go to the PennDOT driver's license center, assuming that since they are, in fact almighty PennDOT, they can do something to remedy my problem.
I was wrong.
I got some sadistic jerk telling me that "Well, we can't do anything for you, because we don't handle vehicle registration, only driver's licensing. Oh, but you could try AAA." Heh. There's a bright idea. Why didn't I think of that?
So, from there I go to Wal-Mart because I have to get a gift for a friend of mine who just had a baby. I got her an outfit consisting of a onesie with a polo collar and a really cute pair of baby jean shorts. The idiot at the counter kept my shorts. So now my mom has to go out of her way on her way home and pick up my shorts from their customer service center. Great.
AND I just missed my show (Notes From the Underbelly) because my sister wanted to watch Bones. Now I'm really irritated and I've been having contractions (not sure if they're Braxton Hicks or not) all day. This is all I need..
On the bright side, I did get 3 books out of the library today and they all look pretty good so I'll have some reading material. =]

So, it's been a while since I updated. Somebody freaking keyed my car today! >=O It's not a big mark, but it's there and it's crap and I'm really mad. There's more than one spot too. And there's no way to tell who did it. Gah. Why do people have to be so inconsiderate. I take such good care of my car. Why can't they just leave it alone? And I don't even know if it was someone that I know or not. BUT, if I do find out that someone I know did do it, I assure you, they will be very. very. VERY. sorry.
On a lighter note, there are only 7 weeks from today until my due date. Which means, I only have 4-7 more weeks before this little boy comes out =]. I can't wait to be done being pregnant and have my son. I have almost everything done, there's some more stuff that still needs bought. A lot of stuff that still needs bought, actually, but nothing really that expensive. The big expensive stuff is bought and already in my apartment. I still have to get a travel system though. I can't bring him home without a car seat =\. And I still have to buy some things that I'm going to need to pack my hospital bag. 2 weeks from today, I think that I'll probably pack his bag and mine, just to make sure that I'm ready. I'll go out that day and buy all of the stuff that we still need.
My thought for today is: Why are people so stupid when it comes to driving?
Seriously. If you make a wrong move, just because you're being impatient, you could make it so the person in that car behind you or in front of you, doesn't make it home to see their family. Some retard today with out-of-state plates cut me off on a VERY busy road, to the point that I had to come to an almost complete stop, so that she could wedge herself between me and the large SUV in front of me. Ugh. I hate people like that. What kind of officiants do we have handing out driver's licenses?
